What Is Summer Thing?
Instead of a Vacation Bible School, the North Bay church is sponsoring an all-day activity that kids will remember! It’s like a VBS—just a bit longer in time and broader in activity!
What About The Times?
We ask that the children be at the church building by 9:30 AM each morning. They will need to be picked up at 3:00 PM each afternoon. Please be prompt!
What Is The Theme For 2025?
Magnified! Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things.
What Activities Will Occur?
Your child will love the activities. There will be singing, Bible stories, skits, a living Bible character each day, crafts, games, water activity or swimming, lunch time, and more!
What About Lunch?
Each child will need to bring a lunch each morning. Please put the child’s name on the outside in big letters. Drinks will be provided.
Is There A Fee?
There is a fee of $12 per child. If you are unable to afford the fee please reach out to our office about possible scholarships to cover your childs fees. You may pay with cash on Day 1 of Summer Thing when you drop your child off or we can send an invoice to your email to pay by card.
What About Swimming?
Yes, there will be water activity for the children. Children in Kindergarten through Grade 2 will have their water activity at the church building. There will be kiddie pools with adult supervision. Children in Grades 3-6 will be transported to the Portland City pool for swimming. Responsible adults will provide the transportation. At the Portland swimming pool, there are certified life guards. The costs for swimming are included in the $12 fee. Each child should come dressed in his/her swim suit. Also, each child will need to bring a towel and apply sunscreen.
